A Dreamy Photo Shoot With Dreamy Fox Photography

Saturday saw my daughter, Florence, 3, and I, venture into Leeds city centre, close to where both she and her older brother Alexander (my middle child) were born at St. James Hospital, for a special photo shoot with Pallavi, founder of Dreamy Fox Photography. And dreamy it was!

This was the first time Florence had taken part in a professional photo shoot (my husband and I just snap away naturally) and I was equally surprised and impressed with how focused and patient she was for the hour-long session.

What a pro!

Like myself, she’s a high-energy human (!) but she loved every minute of the session, including dancing around, playing with flowers and changing into three outfits, no less. Pallavi immediately put us both at ease with her effortlessly calm personality and authentic charm. As a mum of two, with a daughter of similar age to Florence, she knew exactly how to engage, entertain, and even distract Florence where necessary, to achieve the best shots.

Pallavi’s vision, attention to detail, warm demeanor and undeniable talent makes her world class in my opinion and I say this as someone who has been lucky enough to collaborate with world-class photographers. I hope she knows this with her whole being.  Juggling motherhood with a creative career is intense, and I know this first-hand.

What I valued most about the shoot was how fun it was for Florence and I. Pallavi encouraged me to take a few shots myself and I think she captured our essence and soul as much as our external appearance and pretty dresses. That’s no easy feat yet it’s the most important element of photography in my opinion, and to do so, in such a short turn-around, so as not to exhaust young children is quite something!

The ground floor of Pallavi’s home has been transformed into a studio with various backdrops, chairs and props. She works quickly and efficiently, sharing her work as she goes, involving the parent and guardian fully in the experience. Pallavi specialises in maternity, newborn, family and couple shoots respectively as wel las boudoir and art portraits, and her services are also ideal for those looking for new professional headshots or lifestyle pictures too. I wasn’t due to be photographed but Pallavi encouraged me to have a few pictures taken with Florence, and I love them! She’s really captured our relationship and bond!

This was more than just a shoot, on reflection, it was a core memory made, a warm, unforgettable experience for us both. Passion is the driving force with every creative pursuit and Pallavi’s passion and commitment to achieving a joyful experience and treasured photos to take away with you, is unparalleled. I simply cannot wait to print, frame and fill my house with these achingly beautiful photos.

Thank you Pallavi, you’re one in a million and I hope we can collaborate again in the future!
